Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has paid a condolence visit to his Kogi State counterpart, Ahmed Usman Ododo, following the death of his father, Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.
Governor Okpebholo, who described the loss of a parent as “one of life’s deepest sorrows,” prayed that Almighty Allah grant the late patriarch eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus.
During the visit on Saturday, the Edo Governor also offered prayers for strength and comfort for the Ododo family as they mourned their father.
He urged them to find solace in the noble legacies their late father left behind, legacies, he said, defined by “faith, service, discipline, and enduring devotion to family and community.”
“May his memories remain a blessing, and his legacies continue to inspire generations to come,” Governor Okpebholo said, according to a statement signed by his chief press secretary, Fred Itua and released to Naijaonpoint on Saturday, August 23.
The visit underscored the personal bond between the two governors, with Okpebholo referring to Ododo not just as a colleague but as a friend and brother.
Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo was widely respected in Kogi State for his community leadership and values. His passing has drawn condolence messages from political leaders, traditional rulers, and community members.
