WATCH THE VIDEO HERE GOVERNOR Godwin Obaseki has appointed Joseph Eboigbe as the new Secretary to the Edo State Government following the resignation of Osarodion Ogie from the role. This announcement was made in a statement by Crusoe Osagie, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media Projects. “The governor has approved Mr. Joseph Eboigbe’s appointment as the new Secretary to the State Government, effective immediately,” the statement noted. Obaseki’s spokesperson added that “Eboigbe previously served as the Governor’s Special Adviser on Budget and Economic Planning and later as the Commissioner for Finance. He will now take on the role of Secretary to the State Government to carry on with the Governor’s Finishing Strong agenda.” Eboigbe, a chartered accountant, has a 15-year background at Deloitte before transitioning into public service. He holds a Master’s degree in Leadership and Strategy from the London Business School. The statement revealed that Obaseki accepted Ogie’s resignation as he intended to pursue his ambition to become the Deputy Governor of Edo State. “The governor expresses gratitude to Ogie for his dedication and loyalty to the vision of building a vibrant and prosperous State that his administration has championed over the past seven years,” the statement continued. “Governor Obaseki wishes Ogie success in his future endeavors and is confident that he will leverage his extensive experience in his efforts to serve the people of Edo.”
