NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that the Edo 2024 Governorship Election is shaping up to be a highly competitive race as voters head to the polls to choose the next state governor to succeed Godwin Obaseki.

The top three candidates are Asue Ighodalo of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Monday Okpebholo of the All Progressives Congress (APC), and Olumide Akpata of the Labour Party (LP).

Fourteen other candidates are vying for the governorship position, with sixteen men and one woman in the running.

Boot Party – Osirame Edeipo

Accord Party – Bright Enabulele

African Democratic Congress – Osarenren Derek Izedonmwen

Peoples Redemption Party -Patience Key Ndidi

Young Progressive Party – Paul Okungbowa Ovbokhan

Social Democratic Party – Aner Abdullahi Aliu
