WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) questioned former Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy Ohanenye, today over allegations of misappropriation, procurement violations, and the diversion of ₦138.4 million in public funds during the disbursement of the ministry’s 2023 budget. According to reliable sources, the ex-minister arrived at the EFCC headquarters around 11 a.m. and was interrogated regarding her alleged involvement in the fraud. Investigations reportedly revealed that funds intended for the ‘P-Bat Cares for Women Initiative’ were diverted for personal gain. She has not been granted administrative bail as the investigation remains ongoing, sources confirmed. Kennedy-Ohanenye was among the ministers dismissed by President Bola Tinubu in October 2024, having been appointed to the role on August 21, 2023.
