The police in Ekiti State have arraigned two men, Ayeni Ayomide (28) and Jacob Odunayo (30), in a magistrates’ court sitting in Ado-Ekiti over theft of pairs of shoes and clothes.
The prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that on December 6, 2025, the defendants broke into the shop of one Rev Olaosebikan and stole pairs of shoes and clothes valued at N2,000,000, property of one Sule Ajayi, contrary to Section 421, 324(1) and (2), 302(1)(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State 2021.
Counsel to the defendants, Barrister HE Salau, urged the court to admit his clients to bail in liberal terms.
The Magistrate, Mr Abayomi Adeosun, granted a bail of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case to January 29, 2026.
