Elden Ring Nightreign has had an incredibly successful run so far, and it’s arguably one of FromSoftware’s most unique projects. While it initially was divisive for many players, a handful of tweaks and revisions to the original Nightreign formula, such as the addition of duos, have garnered a dedicated and healthy player-base since the game’s release earlier this year.
Nightreign fans have been eager for more content, however, and in a recent update from FromSoft parent company Kadokawa, it appears that the highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign DLC will officially be releasing before the end of FY2025, which is March 31, 2026. The company also reported that Duskbloods, FromSoftware’s new original IP for the Nintendo Switch 2, will also be releasing by that date.
Elden Ring Nightreign DLC & Duskbloods Release By March 2026
Fans Knew DLC Was Coming, But Now Have Official Release Window
Elden Ring Nightreign’s release seems ages ago despite launching just five months ago, but a DLC has been on the table since the very beginning, with players questioning exactly when it would be fully ready. In a recent earnings report from Kadokawa, the answer appears to be before the end of fiscal year 2025, or March 31, 2026. The delayed FromSoft project for Nintendo Switch 2, Duskbloods, is also getting a pre-March 31 launch date as well according to the report.
Elden Ring Nightreign’s DLC will include new Nightfarers and bosses, though the specific details for the expanded content is not clear yet. No information is yet available on the Nightfarers, such as what sort of archetypes or gameplay styles they’ll offer, though there are countless possibilities assuming they’re modeled loosely on Elden Ring’s existing classes. It’s likely these new Nightfarers will have their own unique Remembrance quests, and will expand the story/lore of Nightreign as well.
Further, while it hasn’t been confirmed, there’s a high likelihood of new gear and items making their way into the gameplay with the DLC, such as new weapons, consumables, etc. The DLC’s new bosses will certainly pose a significant challenge, and players who want a challenge will be able to take on the recently released Deep of Night hardcore mode with the new bosses as well.
Release Date For Elden Ring Nightreign DLC Is Exciting For Fans
Nightreign Players Have Something To Look Forward To In 2026
Getting an official release date for the Nightreign DLC is a huge win for players, as it’s been a little unclear since launch exactly when we’d get our hands on new content. The Duskbloods release confirmation is also exciting for players, though the game’s exclusivity on Nintendo Switch 2 has alienated many fans who don’t have the console. Overall though, early 2026 will be a good time for FromSoft fans across the board.
As the Elden Ring Nightreign DLC launch draws nearer, we may get additional details about what will be included and just how expansive the content will be. If it’s anything like the Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree DLC, players will essentially be getting an entirely new game on top of the base game, but we will have to wait until more details are announced before getting too excited.
