Enough Of The Tension – DHRD Call On Rivers Politicians To Restrain Themselves From Further Polarising The Political Spaces

Rivers Map

The Defence For Human Rights And Democracy (DHRD),has keenly observed with dismay the heightened political tension in Rivers State.

You recall that this same political crisis led to the declaration of six months state of emergency in the state.

The state is still bearing the negative brunt of the declaration of state of emergency by President Bola Tinubu, which will take the government and people of the state several years to recover.

It is expedient at this point to call on the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory Chief (Barr) Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike, the governor of Rivers State Sir Siminilaye Joseph Fubara and the 26 members of the Rivers State House of assembly led by Rt. Hon Martin Chike Amaewhule to close ranks, push for dialogue, restrain themselves from further polarising the political space of the state.

Enough-Is-Enough!
What Rivers State is true dividend of Democracy that will propel growth and development in the state and not to fight over our collective resources.
