Enyimba International Football Club has officially announced the appointment of Stanley Eguma as their new head coach, marking a significant change in leadership for the club.

This decision comes on the heels of the dismissal of Yemi Olanrewaju, who was relieved of his duties after the team faced a string of disappointing performances.

Olanrewaju’s tenure came to an abrupt end on Saturday, as the club’s management expressed their dissatisfaction with the recent results.

The People’s Elephants have struggled considerably, going winless in their last eight matches across all competitions. This unsettling streak represents the longest period without a victory for the Nigerian giants in two decades, raising concerns among fans and stakeholders alike.

Stanley Eguma steps into this challenging role after previously managing Rivers United, a club that once tasted the glory of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) title.

Eguma’s experience and tactical knowledge will be crucial as he seeks to revive Enyimba’s fortunes and restore them to their former status as one of Nigeria’s premier football clubs.
