Former All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretary, Waziri Bulama, has berated the erstwhile Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, over his remarks against Senator Tanko Al-Makura.
Recall that Malami had dismissed claims by Al-Makura’s group that members of Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) bloc of the APC had ruled out defection and endorsed President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 elections.
Malami accused Al-Makura and his group of throwing former president Muhammadu Buhari under the bus in a bid to gain political relevance.
Reacting to Malami’s submission during an interview on Arise News on Wednesday, Bulama argued that Malami is in no position to speak for anybody.
He said, “Even though Buhari appointed him as Justice Minister, who is Malami, for God’s sake? He is in no position to speak on any issue for anybody.”
Speaking further, he applauded Tinubu for showing respect to the memory of the late Buhari.
“The President has done enough to honour President Buhari. He led a state burial for him. He mourned deeply. Buhari and Tinubu referred to themselves as friends and political partners. They aligned to bring about the APC, which put an end to identity politics and made history by winning three successive presidential elections,” he said.
