Former Juventus striker believes Napoli would struggle to find a replacement for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen if he leaves the club in the summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Osimhen has been one of the best strikers in the world in the last two years, and he has been the major outlet for Napoli. Last season, he helped the club to their first Serie A title in over 30 years, scoring 26 goals in the run-up to their run-up. Also, he won the Capocannoniere, becoming the first African striker to do so.

This season, he has continued with his brilliance, albeit slowed down by injuries. The 25-year-old has registered 13 goals and four assists in 24 games for the Partenopeans.

Following his impressive performances, Osimhen has been linked with a transfer to some top European clubs. Real Madrid, PSG, Chelsea, and Arsenal have all been in the conversation. Also, Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal were in the mix last summer and may be looking to pounce.

Napoli have been adamant about letting the Super Eagles star leave, but with his deal expiring in 2026, Osimhen looks set for an exit at the end of the campaign.

Ahead of his potential departure, former Juventus striker Fabrizio Ravanelli has extolled Osimhen’s quality. He also believes that the club will find it hard to replace him.

“Osimhen is among the best strikers in the world. He has incredible ferocity and is not afraid of anything. It will not be easy for Napoli to replace him”, he said per Napoli Magazine.

Despite Osimhen’s brilliance in front of goal, Napoli have struggled this season. They have been knocked out of the Italian Cup and the Champions League. They also sit seventh in the Serie A, 31 points behind leaders Inter Milan. If Osimhen leaves the club, they could suffer next season.
