Ex-Manchester United and Blackburn Chief scout, Mick Brown, has confirmed Everton’s interest in Super Eagles and Leicester City midfielder, Wilfred Ndidi, Soccernet.ng reports.
The 28-year-old was relegated from the English top-flight with the Foxes last season and is keen on moving on from the club this summer.
Ndidi is available to be swooped up this summer for a meagre fee of £9m, and has garnered interest from clubs in Italy, Spain and even Turkey.
Mick Brown, who is still involved in the transfer business despite retiring a while back, confirmed Everton are looking for another midfielder, having already lost Abdoulaye Doucoure this summer.

“Everton are considering signing Wilfred Ndidi,” the former Manchester United Chief Scout told Football Insider.
“It’s a move I expect he will be open to as well, the chance to get straight back into the Premier League after getting relegated with Leicester.
“They’ve been keen on him for a while, and he’s a very solid player. Everton have had scouts watching his performances, and he’s been one of Leicester’s better players.
“It might prove difficult to get over the line because there are a lot of clubs who have been made aware of that release clause he’s got, but I expect them to make an attempt to bring him in ahead of these clubs.
“Either way, it looks like he’s definitely leaving Leicester,” the 85-year-old concluded.
Considering other clubs like Real Betis, Juventus and Manchester United have registered in the defensive midfielder, Everton are somewhat viewed as the least-ranked team amongst Ndidi’s suitors.
Although Manchester United are not what they used to be, similarly with Juventus. Both these clubs still possess a bigger culture and ambition than whatever Everton has to offer, respectfully.
At this stage of Ndidi’s career, playing in top competitions would be primary for him, considering he’s only played four UEFA Champions League games.
Still, it’ll be very interesting to see where the Nigerian midfield anchor ends up this summer.
