Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has met privately with former military leader, General Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida (retd.), in Minna, Niger State.
Politics Nigeria reports that the visit took place on Monday, as Obasanjo arrived in Minna and moved straight to Babangida’s hilltop residence.
However, the engagement was kept strictly away from the public. No aides addressed journalists and no official statement followed the visit.
The meeting itself was brief. It was held behind closed doors and ended without any public interaction. Shortly after the discussion, Obasanjo left Minna and returned the same way he came. The nature of the conversation remains unknown.

Obasanjo has recently featured in political discussions around possible opposition strategies. He has been linked to talks aimed at building a united front ahead of the next presidential election. These discussions are believed to involve strong political figures from different regions.
There have also been claims of plans around a joint presidential ticket involving Peter Obi and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso. The proposed platform mentioned in political circles is the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
