New Details Emerge on Wendy Williams’ Guardianship — Was It Premeditated?

The drama surrounding Wendy Williams’ guardianship continues to unfold — and the latest revelations are raising even more eyebrows about how the entire situation began.

According to court records obtained by Media Take Out, a 2022 letter from Wendy’s psychiatrist played a major role in stripping the former daytime talk queen of her financial and personal independence.

The very brief letter, written by Dr. Rami Kaminski, was addressed to Lori Schiller, Wendy’s financial advisor at the time. In it, Dr. Kaminski claimed that Wendy was “unable to make reasoned decisions,” and said her judgment and insight were “severely impaired.”

Wendy Note

This two-sentence note was reportedly submitted to Wells Fargo, triggering a chain of events that led to Wendy being placed under a legal guardianship — one that many say cut her off from loved ones, limited her autonomy, and took full control of her finances.

But here’s where things start to feel… off.

A source close to Wendy’s inner circle told The Shade Room that they believe this letter was part of a “premeditated” effort to take control of Wendy’s life — particularly as she began making moves to distance herself from the people managing her money.

“These two sentences from a doctor shouldn’t be enough to take away someone’s rights,” the source said. “This document should never have been shared with a financial advisor or a bank.”

The same source claims that Wendy had been trying to fire both her financial advisor and her manager at the time — and that the guardianship was used as a weapon to stop her from doing so.

Even more troubling? The manager in question was later arrested for using Wendy’s credit card without permission, which adds a major layer of suspicion around who really had her best interests at heart.

On top of that, Wendy’s guardian — Sabrina Morrissey — was not randomly appointed by the court, as is standard in many cases. She was allegedly brought in from the start, further fueling the theory that a coordinated effort may have been in place long before the public even knew what was happening.

It’s worth noting that Wendy’s struggles with health and wellness have been public for years. But what fans — and now investigators — are beginning to question is how quickly she was declared incapable and whether the system that was supposed to protect her instead took advantage of her.

With the upcoming Lifetime documentary “Where Is Wendy Williams?” stirring even more public concern, it seems this situation is far from over.

Whether or not the guardianship was warranted, one thing is clear: Wendy deserves transparency, protection, and the right to have her voice heard — especially when decisions are being made about her life, her health, and her hard-earned legacy.
