Industry experts will gather in Abidjan, Côte d’Ivoire, on April 8-9 to explore the role of artificial intelligence and blockchain in driving economic growth, the EU-Africa Chamber of Commerce said in a statement on Thursday.

The Blockchain & AI B2B event, organised with support from the International Trade Centre and the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs under the Netherlands Trust Fund V Ghana Tech Project, will bring together startups from Ghana and stakeholders from Côte d’Ivoire to foster cross-border partnerships.

According to the EUACC, the event will feature expert panels on AI and blockchain’s impact on economic transformation, business-to-business networking, and startup pitching sessions. Participants will also visit VITIB Tech Village, a key innovation hub in the region, to explore real-world applications of these technologies.

“This initiative marks a key milestone ahead of the Abidjan Blockchain Week in July, as part of the IVOIRETECH FORUM,” the chamber said.

Binance Africa has been named a key sponsor, a move the EUACC said would help enhance the event’s visibility and outreach.
