Nollywood actress, Etinosa Idemudia, has berated Big Brother Naija (BBN) star, Uriel Oputa, over a threat to knock actors who will start showing ‘fake love’ to her uncle, Veteran movie star, Fabian Adibe.
Naijaonpoint reports that Adibe died on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, after a brief illness.
Uriel alleged that nobody checked on her late uncle during his final days and expressed gratitude to friends who supported him.

Reacting to the remark, Etinosa, in a post on her Instagram page, stated that Adibe’s colleagues and fans have the right to express sadness over his demise, despite not checking on him while he was sick.
The thespian emphasised that posting a celebrity after death does not mean ‘fake love’, stressing that everyone has something they are dealing with.
According to her, Fabian Adibe also did not check on his colleague while he was strong and urged Uriel to allow celebrities and fans to mourn his uncle and not soil his great memories with an unnecessary fight.
She wrote, “Agreed, we all have the right to grieve however we want. But every time a celebrity dies, there’s always that one person looking for a fight about “Don’t post him, don’t show fake love”. His colleagues and fans have every right to show sadness over his passing, whether they checked on him or not. It is not fake love.
“Everyone has something they are dealing with, and your uncle didn’t check on anyone either when he was strong. Let’s not always soil a great person’s memorial with unnecessary fights/bad energy. Allow people to show love however they can… be kind to one another cos people you are calling out are also going through this life and its challenges. Please accept my sincere condolences. @urielmusicstar.”
