Falcon recommits to safety standards in gas projects

Falcon Corporation Limited, an indigenous gas value chain company, has recommitted to upholding safety standards, having accomplished one million man-hours without a lost time injury on the ongoing 15,000 metric tonne liquefied petroleum gas storage facility project in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

A statement by the Managing Director/Founder of the firm, Prof. Joe Ezigbo, said the accomplishment underscores Falcon’s dedication to best practices and safety standards across its operations and management.

Ezigbo expressed pride in this achievement, highlighting the company’s commitment to maintaining high standards in environmental, health, safety, and quality management.

He said, “This milestone reflects our team’s dedication to creating a safe work environment and our continuous pursuit of operational excellence.

He emphasised the company’s commitment to safety as a core part of its corporate culture, stressing that the achievement showcases the effectiveness of Falcon’s safety protocols and training programmes.

The MD pointed out that Falcon remains vigilant about minimising operational risks, prioritising the health and safety of employees, contractors, and the environment.

According to him, the company adheres to rigorous national and global standards, adopting innovative strategies to enhance workplace safety.

Giving an overview of the project that recorded the one million man-hours without LTI, the Falcon Corporation boss explained that the project is a 15,000 metric tonne capacity LPG storage facility with jetty access for marine activities.

He disclosed that the facility is constructed on over 110,000sqm of land for end-to-end LPG delivery to distributors and off-takers for throughput activities.

He added that Falcon Corporation desires to deepen gas utilisation in the South-South and the South-East by making LPG available to users.

He added that bridging the rigour of taking gas to Lagos before delivering the same by road informed its decision to take up the investment decision.
