If you’ve been waiting for news about Bethesda’s Fallout series, the day when you’ll finally get some is now on the horizon. In 2024, Bethesda used October 23, the day that the bombs dropped in the Fallout universe. This year, we’ll be getting another stream that might feature a broader selection of news.
Bethesda announced Fallout Day 2025 on X, sharing that a broadcast will take place at 1 PM EST on October 23. The stream, which will air on Twitch, YouTube, and Steam, promises updates on “existing Fallout games, community celebrations, and upcoming fan events.” After the main event, a FalloutForHope post-show will highlight Fallout‘s streamer-driven charity initiative.
Fallout Day Promises Game News On October 23
Two Broadcasts, One Day
By the sound of it, 2025’s Fallout Day won’t come with any earth-shattering revelations, as there’s no mention of new games or updates on the Amazon Prime series. That being said, it does mention existing games in plural, so there could be news about Fallout 4 or other titles in addition to the probable focus on Fallout 76.
Last year’s Fallout Day broadcast was only about 23 minutes, so you shouldn’t have to set aside any more time for the main show than you would for a sitcom episode. The FalloutForHope post-show, meanwhile, is intended to be a celebration of the charity initiative’s accomplishments. Ahead of Fallout Day, the initiative is nearing $1 million raised for organizations like St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
Fallout Day Might Not Be A Game-Changing Event
Major Announcements Are Unlikely
If you’re a casual Fallout fan just waiting for news about Fallout 5 or a New Vegas sequel, this year’s Fallout Day might not hold much in store. If you’re a series die-hard or a regular Fallout 76 player, however, there are bound to be some interesting updates in the broadcast.
There’s always the potential for Bethesda to bring some big surprises, as evidenced by the simultaneous reveal and release of The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered earlier this year. A similar Fallout 3 remaster has been rumored to be in development, but assuming it exists, it’s unlikely to appear at the event or launch any time soon.
Regardless, October 23 is just a couple of weeks away, so it won’t be long before we find out what Fallout currently has in store. It’s also looking like this will become a regular tradition. While the biggest Fallout announcements might still be reserved for larger events, fans can probably expect more news on the same day in 2026 and beyond.

Fallout
Fallout is a post-apocalyptic RPG franchise set in an alternate future where a nuclear war devastates the world. Players explore vast, open worlds filled with mutants, raiders, and advanced technology. The series emphasizes player choice, allowing various approaches to combat, dialogue, and decision-making. Each game follows different protagonists navigating the wasteland to uncover secrets, form alliances, and rebuild civilization amidst the ruins of the old world. The franchise is known for its rich lore, dark humor, and retro-futuristic aesthetic, which has transferred over into its new series on Amazon Prime.
