Family Of 13- Years Old Female Student Allegedly Raped By 17 Year Old Male Class Mate In Rivers Real Madrid Football Academy Accuse School Of Cover Up

The family of a thirteen year old girl (withheld) a JSS2 student of Real Madrid Football Academy in Rivers State allegedly raped by her 17 year old class mate inside the school premises has accused the school of trying to quench the matter.

Mr Uche Sampson, Elder brother to the thirteen year old female student,in an interview with Journalists said

“On 22nd October,2025 my younger sister, thirteen year old was raped by a seventeen years boy in her school, Real Madrid Academy situated at Stadium road Elekahia, Port Harcourt.

“According to her, about 7pm that Wednesday after they had dinner,everybody was going back to their various hostel, she then remembered that she washed.She went down stairs to pick up her clothes.

“Only for her to step out of the room, she noticed that a male student named Akpan around the hostel.

“She asked him what are you doing her,the boy laughed.She ignored him and went about her business to remove her clothes.

“Only for her to notice a hit on her back.She turned.She thought it was a normal thing.The boy hit her,hit her chest.They started fighting.She was shouting,nobody heard her voice.

“The next thing,the boy smashed her head on the staircase overpowered her.And gained access to her through her anus.

“As I speak to you now,the girl is bleeding, crying in pains.The school did not take any action against the boy rather they sent sister back home without medical attention”.
Mr Uche accused the Management of the school of looking for a way to quench the matter.

When contacted,the Principal of the school referred us to the Permanent Secretary, Ministry Sports.
The Spokesperson of the Rivers State Police Command, Grace Iringe Koko, who is also a Superintendent of Police, SP confirmed that Elekahia Police Division in charge of the jurisdiction of the school is in receipt of complaints by the parents of the alleged rape female victim.
SP Koko added that investigation is ongoing.

Meanwhile a human Rights Advocate, Prince Wiro who is also the National Coordinator of Centre for Basic Rights Protection and Accountability Campaign in his reaction criticized the institution for not handing the suspect over to the Police for investigation before his(suspect) parents took him home

Mr Wiro called on the Rivers State Ministry of Sports and Education to ensure the suspect is handed over to the Police for unbiased investigation.
