Fat Joe is speaking out about the financial and personal toll of his legal battle with former hypeman Terrance “T.A.” Dixon.

According to court documents, the rapper amended his complaint against Dixon and attorney Tyrone Blackburn, accusing them of orchestrating a smear campaign against him. Joe originally sued Dixon in April, alleging he made “a torrent of wholly fabricated, grotesque, and scandalous allegations” for a payout.

The Bronx rapper claims Dixon’s alleged extortion attempts caused him to lose $10 million in business, from endorsements and TV appearances to podcast deals and contracts for his Rewind It grooming line.

He’s now seeking $15 million in damages.

Fat Joe’s lawsuit states that Dixon worked with him from 2006 to 2019 and was paid correctly. But Dixon allegedly sought more for his claimed work on songs like “Congratulations,” “Ice Cream,” and “Money Over B—hes.”

In March, Dixon and Blackburn allegedly demanded money for ghostwriting and vocals but a month later, Joe says he was threatened with a lawsuit containing serious accusations, including sexual trafficking and forced labor.

Fat Joe has denied all claims. “The lawsuit filed by Tyrone Blackburn and Terrance Dixon is a blatant act of retaliation,” his attorney, Joe Tacopina, said. “Mr. Cartagena will not be intimidated.”
