After signing a five-year deal with Famalicão, the youngster revealed he’s buzzing to get started in Portugal, and will give his all to help the team.
“I’m happy to be here and to have signed a contract here. For me, I’m here to score the goals and help the team,” Abubakar said in his first interview with the club.
“I can play anywhere in attack, it all depends on the formation and what the coach wants. I can play on the wing and up front.”
“I know they’re a good team with good players, and good management who believe in young talents.
“I looked at the facilites, the gym, the training centre, the pitch. Everything here is good.
Famalicão finished the 2024/2025 domestic season in 7th place on the Primera Liga table, 35 points behind Viktor Gyokeres‘ Sporting Lisbon.
