The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Command has urged the public to disregard information circulating on a fraudulent Facebook page.
The FCT Commandant, Olusola Odumosu, in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Friday in Abuja said:”the fake account was created by “hijackers”.
He appealed to Nigerians to disregard new information on its previous Facebook page.
Odumosu announced that the command’s new facebook page is https://www.facebook.com/nscdcfctcommandheadquarters.
He said that it became imperative to alert Nigerians of the changes to avoid people being mis-informed or scammed by the criminals posing as legit operators of the account.
“Our account has been hijacked by unknown group of persons, hence, any information, requests or illegal activities emanating from that page is not from us and must be totally disregarded,” he said.(NAN)(www.nannews.ng)
