WATCH THE VIDEO HERE THE Federal Capital Territory Police Command has confirmed the successful rescue of three individuals who were trapped in a building collapse at Unity House, Area 11, Garki yesterday night. According to a statement by Police Public Relations Officer SP Josephine Adeh, upon receiving a distress call, FCT Commissioner of Police Benneth Igweh swiftly mobilized multiple patrol teams to the scene to secure the area and facilitate rescue efforts. Following the collapse of a four-storey building near Westbrook Hotel in Garki, reports indicated that several people were trapped under the debris. While there were concerns about potential casualties, two individuals were pulled out alive from the rubble. The statement revealed that three victims were safely evacuated and transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. The National Emergency Management Agency of Nigeria and FCT Development Control however, have been informed about the incident and are coordinating efforts to oversee the situation and manage the area effectively.
