According to a statement issued today by his Special Adviser to the President (Media & Publicity), Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the president was “deeply saddened” to learn of the fire that affected areas of the market. Yesterday evening, a fire raced across a section of the market, destroying property and other valuables. He went on: “President Tinubu extends his heartfelt sympathies to all the traders affected by this distressing incident, and assures them of his administration’s full support.” The President urged vigilance and adherence to critical safety measures to prevent fires and other catastrophes.
