According To Our Reporter, the National Industrial Court in Abuja has issued an immediate order halting the ongoing strike by workers under the Joint Union Action Committee (JUAC) in the Federal Capital Territory.

In a ruling delivered on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, Justice E.D. Subilim granted an interlocutory injunction sought by FCT Minister Nyesom Wike and the FCT Administration, directing union leaders to suspend all strike actions and work disruptions pending the court’s final decision.

The court acknowledged the trade dispute but emphasized that the right to strike must follow legal procedures. Justice Subilim warned that continuing the strike during ongoing judicial processes would undermine the court’s authority and disrupt the dispute resolution framework.

As a result, affected FCT workers have been ordered to immediately resume their duties while the legal matter proceeds. Watch full report
