Federal Fire Service Officially Opens Portal for 2025 Recruitment Exercise

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) has officially commenced its 2025 recruitment exercise, with the application portal now open for interested and qualified Nigerians seeking federal employment.

The announcement was made by the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB), calling on suitable applicants across the country to apply for full-time appointments into various positions within the fire service.

“The recruitment is for full-time appointments into various cadres of the Federal Fire Service,” the CDCFIB stated. “The application is completely free, and candidates should avoid anyone requesting payment.”

Categories and Available Positions

The 2025 recruitment is divided into three major categories:

  • Category A – General Duty:

  • Category B – Inspectorate Cadre:

  • Category C – Assistant Cadre:

    • Fire Assistant II (FA II) – CONPASS 04

    • Fire Assistant III (FA III) – CONPASS 03 (General Duty, Drivers, Appliance Operators, Artisans)

General Requirements

To be eligible, applicants must:

  1. Be a Nigerian citizen by birth

  2. Possess relevant educational qualifications

  3. Present original certificates at the recruitment centre (no acceptance after submission deadline)

  4. Be physically and mentally fit, with a Certificate of Medical Fitness from a recognized government hospital

  5. Have no criminal convictions or history of financial misconduct

  6. Be between 18 and 35 years old

  7. Meet the minimum height requirement: 1.65m for males, 1.60m for females

  8. Male chest measurement must be at least 0.87m

  9. Computer literacy is considered an advantage
