Federal Government Resolves NIN Upload Issues for Trade Grant Scheme

The Federal Government announces the successful resolution of all issues hindering NIN upload for the Trade Grant Scheme. Previously, technical glitches had impeded applicants from verifying their NINs, affecting the progress of the presidential palliative grant verification process.

The Trade Grant Scheme, designed to bolster Nano Businesses under the Presidential Palliative Program, extends a grant of N50,000 per beneficiary, targeting one million nano businesses across Nigeria’s 774 local government areas.

Minister of Trade and Investment, Doris Uzoka-Anite, disclosed that despite the scheme’s initial delay, caused by technical challenges in NIN uploads, all obstacles have now been overcome. She expressed appreciation for applicants’ patience during the resolution process.

In adherence to earlier directives, participants in the presidential trade grant program are required to link their NINs to their bank accounts. This aligns with recent mandates from the Central Bank of Nigeria regarding NIN-linked account verification. Applicants yet to fulfill this requirement will receive SMS notifications from ‘FGGRANTLOAN’ with detailed instructions to complete the necessary steps via a secure link.

The Federal Government’s unwavering commitment to promoting locally manufactured goods for export remains resolute. The swift resolution of technical hurdles related to NIN uploads underscores the government’s steadfast support for small businesses and its dedication to fostering economic prosperity.
