WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Big U is going to need a gold star defense to get him off the hook for the RICO charges he is facing after the feds revealed they have as many as 20,000 wiretapped phone calls and video recordings of him facilitating his alleged criminal enterprise. According to newly filed court documents, prosecutors have obtained over 20,000 wiretapped calls, plus secret audio and video recordings. Feds say that they also have law enforcement reports, search warrants, criminal history files, photos, and more, totaling around 60GB of material. A trial date was set for this month, but now defense attorneys are asking the judge to give them more time to sift through the evidence.
Big U is accused of heading a violent set tied to the Rollin’ 60s Crips, facing charges for murder, assault, and extortion going back to 2010. In a wiretapped 2023 call, prosecutors say he dropped this warning: “I’ll pull up on your block right now, n—a…what happened to the last n—as that thought I was retired.” Big U has denied the allegations against him and says he’s being targeted for his work in the community. “They going around scaring and intimidating everybody y’all sending it around, getting people in trouble. Like y’all don’t understand what the FBI do to Black men who try to help their community,’ he said on livestream prior to his arrest.
