Fetty Wap has been released early from prison and is now transitioning back to everyday life under supervised conditions.

Sentenced initially in May 2023 to six years behind bars for his role in a drug trafficking case, Fetty quietly resurfaced this week and wasted no time reconnecting with supporters. He appeared on social media to thank fans for standing by him, signaling a hopeful new chapter after a turbulent period.

According to the Bureau of Prisons, Fetty has been transferred to home confinement in Philadelphia. He is expected to be fully released from federal oversight on November 8 later this year. Until then, he will follow a strict set of rules that extend well beyond his return home.

The artist must comply with regular drug testing, avoid alcohol or other intoxicants unless medically prescribed, and receive approval before opening any new bank accounts. He is also required to report all income and tax records to probation officials.

If deemed necessary, Fetty may also participate in outpatient treatment and continued monitoring. His early release follows a case involving more than 500 grams of cocaine and significant cash.

Speaking to XXL back in 2023, Fetty Wap talked about the lack of support he received from some of his industry friends.

“I feel like I did some good things out there in the music world, and I made a name for myself. Whether it be the old songs or not, I still made a lane for a lot of artists that came after me. I don’t be feeling that respect in here. I don’t be feeling like people respect that,” he said at the time. “So, I mean, I appreciate and respect the hell out of the people that did hit me up, you know what I’m sayin’? Like the ones that did really show me love and, that was supporting me, and that’s checking on me and everything like that. And so, other than that, I just be thuggin’ in here.”
