The Federal Government, through the Office of the National Security Adviser, on Tuesday reunited 128 rescued kidnap victims with their families in Abuja.

The victims, including men, women and children, were rescued by security forces in two separate operations at Kaura Namoda in Zamfara state.

National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, said the victims would receive trauma care and support to resettle in their communities.

He commended security forces for the rescue and vowed that the perpetrators would be hunted down and brought to justice.

“Let us take politics out of security challenges,” Ribadu warned.

Adamu Laka, national coordinator of the National Counter Terrorism Centre (NCTC), disclosed that one of the rescued children died of illness, while a premature baby delivered during the operation is currently under incubation at a medical facility.
