Fidelity Bank has commended Air Peace on historic Abuja–London Heathrow Flight.
NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that Fidelity Bank Plc has congratulated Air Peace on the successful launch of its maiden direct flight from Abuja to London Heathrow, describing the milestone as a proud moment for Nigeria and a reflection of indigenous excellence in global aviation.
In a statement, Dr. Nneka Onyeali-Ikpe, OON, Managing Director and CEO of Fidelity Bank, lauded Air Peace’s resilience and vision, noting that the new route underscores the airline’s commitment to expanding Nigeria’s presence on the global stage.
“We warmly congratulate Air Peace on this remarkable achievement, which reflects its unwavering dedication to advancing Nigeria’s aviation industry. Fidelity Bank is proud to have supported the airline’s journey since inception 11 years ago,” Onyeali-Ikpe stated.
She emphasized Fidelity Bank’s longstanding partnership with Air Peace and its leadership role in aviation financing, affirming that the bank would continue supporting the airline’s growth as it opens new international routes.
The Fidelity Bank boss also commended Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, for his efforts in creating an enabling environment for local operators.
“This historic flight is proof of what can be achieved when government and private sector work together,” she added.
The Abuja–London Heathrow service marks Air Peace’s second direct UK route, following the successful Lagos–London launch earlier this year — a move expected to boost connectivity, cut travel costs, and strengthen Nigeria’s aviation footprint globally.
Fidelity Bank, one of Nigeria’s leading financial institutions, continues to champion national growth through strategic partnerships and support for indigenous enterprises across critical sectors.
