Nollywood actress and film producer Allwell Ademola has been confirmed dead.
The plus-sized actress died on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the age of 43. Reports indicate that she suffered a heart attack at her residence, although details surrounding her death are still being quietly discussed among close friends and colleagues.
Ademola was notably a granddaughter of the late Sir Adetokunbo Ademola, the respected Nigerian jurist and former Chief Justice of Nigeria.
Her passing has come as a shock to many within the film industry, where she was known for her work both in front of and behind the camera.
Several Nollywood stars have taken to social media to express their grief. Actress Faithia Williams wrote on Instagram, “Haaaa. This hit me so bad. Eniobanke. Allahu Akbar..Allwell,” while Mide Martins described the day as a “Black Saturday,” praying for divine mercy on the departed.
Actor Damola Olatunji also reacted by sharing a candlelight image with the simple but poignant caption, “Life is a mirage.”
Ademola was last seen on her Instagram page on Friday, December 26.
