The All Progressives Congress (APC), represented by Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, got the highest number of votes in the election, polling a total of 366,781 votes. The closest challenger was the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), represented by former Deputy Governor Agboola Ajayi, with a total of 117,845 votes. Labour Party (LP), represented by Olorunfemi Festus, scored 1,162, while the Zenith Labour Party candidate, Abass Mimiko, garnered 2,692 votes.
