FirstBank has powered Mainland Laffs 3.0 and lights Up Lagos Entertainment Scene.
NaijaOnPoint Nigeria reports that the Balmoral Convention Centre, Sheraton Ikeja, was transformed into a vibrant hub of entertainment on Sunday, December 7, 2025, as the highly anticipated Legends Decemba/Mainland Laffs 3.0 took centre stage.
Powered by FirstBank Nigeria Limited under its annual DecemberIssaVybe lineup, the event delivered an unforgettable blend of comedy, music, dance, and art solidifying its place as one of Lagos Mainland’s biggest cultural showcases.
Guests were welcomed on a glamorous red carpet decked with branded banners and sponsor installations, setting the tone for a night of excitement. Celebrities, influencers, performers, and fans thronged the venue, which buzzed with anticipation from the onset.
Comedy legend Ali Baba headlined the show, delivering his trademark humour and insight to the delight of the packed hall. He shared the stage with crowd favourites including Kenny Blaq, known for his creative musical comedy style, and Phronesis, whose witty punchlines kept the audience roaring with laughter.
The event’s host, MC Husband Material (Eze Chuwudi), steered the evening with charisma and quick wit, ensuring smooth transitions and high engagement. Other comedy acts such as MC Bishop, Dr. Smile, MC Trick, Abadei, and 16 Onirun added to the night’s steady stream of laughter.
Beyond comedy, Mainland Laffs 3.0 showcased diverse artistic expressions. Gospel rapper Protech delivered a powerful opening performance, followed by soulful melodies from CJ the Violinist, and a breathtaking dance routine by Mauren’s Art. The entertainment palette expanded further with energetic musical sessions from Oba Richie, Angelo, Switch, and Ozzy.
One of the night’s most memorable highlights was the electrifying performance by music icon 2Baba, who thrilled fans with timeless hits from his early catalogue to his latest songs. His stage presence, vocal mastery, and effortless connection with the audience turned the hall into a euphoric singalong. Fans chanted for more as he wrapped up, proof of his enduring influence and legendary status.
The venue itself came alive with vibrant lighting, LED screens, premium sound systems, and a well-organised vendor village offering food, drinks, fashion, and accessories. Every detail from seating to stage design contributed to a seamless, festive experience.
The success of the event was backed by FirstBank, whose support through DecemberIssaVybe once again lent scale and prestige to the production. The Lagos State Government and LASAA also partnered to bring the celebration to life.
A FirstBank representative noted: “We supported the event because it truly reflected the community’s vibrancy and creative spirit.
