New York rapper Fivio Foreign will begin his three-year probation after being released from jail last week.
The rapper spent six months locked up following an incident back in January where he threatened a woman with a weapon.
According to court documents, a New Jersey woman requested a jumpstart on New Year’s Day while outside of an apartment building in Edgewater, NJ.
Instead of offering assistance or declining the request, Fivio responded by pointing a gun at the woman and warning, “If I see you parked in front of this building again, there is going to be a f–-king problem.”
Witnesses quickly called 911. Police reviewed surveillance footage from the area and reportedly found evidence that supported NAIJAONPOINT es’ accounts. The rapper was taken into custody on January 18 and was hit with five charges, including unlawful possession of a weapon, terroristic threats, and aggravated assault.
He was sentenced to three years’ probation by a judge, as well as being credited for the 196 days he had already served behind bars. He could have faced five years in prison for the crime.
