Fivio Foreign is taking a huge step toward a fresh start.
The New York rapper shared on Instagram that he has checked into rehab, saying the decision comes after a difficult year. “I made some dumb mistakes,” said Fivio Foreign, addressing fans directly in a video message. “I don’t want to lose the life I’ve built.”
In ..., Fivio appeared alongside a woman he referred to as his wife and their infant son, crediting them for motivating him to seek help. “My family, my team, even my probation officer,” he said. “They all pushed me to do this.”
The rapper spent much of the past year incarcerated following a New Year’s Eve incident that led to his arrest. He was released in August and is currently serving a three-year probation. Reflecting on that period, Fivio said the experience forced him to take a hard look at his choices and priorities.
He also acknowledged the financial commitment involved, revealing he is paying “$10,000 for a week or two” of treatment. “That’s nothing compared to what I could lose,” he added.
“I just want to do better,” Fivio said. “This is for my family and for me.”
