Former Minister of Aviation, Osita Chidoka, has stated that Nigeria is far worse than a country at war.
Speaking during an appearance on Channels Television on Sunday, Chidoka lamented that data shows there is civil war in the country.
He argued that the number of people killed in Gaza, Syria, and other places could be compared to that of Nigeria despite the country being at peace.
According to him, “From the data, it’s about more than a civil war.”
He said that Nigeria is hurting badly, calling on the government to show leadership.
The former minister also pointed to recent killings and kidnappings as proof of a worsening security crisis.
He said this was not the time for blame games, but for the government to bring stakeholders together to seek solutions to those issues.
