Lamar Odom is facing new legal trouble after being arrested in Las Vegas on suspicion of driving under the influence.
Court records show the former NBA star was taken into custody early Saturday and charged with DUI, along with two traffic violations.
TMZ first reported the arrest, noting that Odom, 46, was accused of driving more than 41 miles per hour over the speed limit and making an improper lane change or failing to maintain his lane. As of midday Saturday, he appeared to still be in custody.
Odom was previously married to Khloé Kardashian and shares two children with ex Liza Morales. He is scheduled to appear in a Nevada court on March 17.
The arrest has renewed attention on Odom’s well-documented struggles with substance use. In 2013, sources previously told PEOPLE that the Los Angeles Lakers alum entered rehab shortly after a DUI arrest in California. That case resulted in probation, fines, and mandatory alcohol education.
Odom has also been candid about a near-fatal overdose in 2015, which he detailed in his 2019 memoir. “My heart stopped twice,” he wrote. “I was on life support. Everyone I loved was looking at me through bleary eyes.” He later reflected that the experience forced him to change his life.
