A former North West Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ex-commissioner in Kebbi State, Alhaji Ibrahim Manzo, has resigned his membership of the party.

Naijaonpoint reports that Manzo, who once served as Commissioner for Health, Commissioner for Agriculture, Amirul Hajj of Kebbi State, and as a deputy governorship candidate on the platform of the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP), announced his resignation in a letter dated September 16, 2025.

The resignation letter was addressed to the PDP Ward Chairman in Dikko Ward, Argungu Local Government Area, and copied to both the local government and state chairmen.

In the letter, Manzo described his decision as purely personal and carefully thought out.

“I write to formally inform you of my resignation from the PDP with immediate effect. My decision is personal and based on careful considerations. I sincerely appreciate the support, cooperation, and kindness I have enjoyed from the party, its leadership, and members during my time as a member,” the letter read.

The politician expressed gratitude to the PDP leadership at all levels, noting that his political journey in the party was marked by goodwill and cooperation.

While he did not disclose his next political move, his exit adds to the growing list of high-profile resignations from the PDP in recent months.
