Dele-Bashiru has enjoyed an impressive rise in the last two years. The Super Eagles star attended Manchester City’s academy before joining Sheffield United in 2020. The explosive midfielder spent three years with Wednesday before joining Hatayspor. Then last summer, he completed a season-long loan transfer to Lazio. Despite struggling to get much game time, he has contributed five goals and two assists in 22 appearances across all competitions. The 24-year-old midfielder appears to have attracted interest from abroad, as 3added minutes reports that Manchester City and Arsenal are monitoring him. Dele-Bashiru is a direct player with a big presence in midfield. Manchester City are searching for a replacement for Kevin De Bruyne, who will likely leave in the summer. While the Lazio midfieder does not have De Bruyne’s passing range, he has a knack for consistently scoring goals, which is an asset for any side. Dele-Bashiru just joined Lazio, and changing clubs so soon could be detrimental. Moreover, if he moves to a big club now, it is highly unlikely that he will start playing instantly. What the Manchester City Academy graduate needs right now is more game time so he can establish himself at Lazio. He has time on his side, so he can afford to wait. If Dele-Bashiru is patient and becomes an integral player at Lazio, he will eventually command a higher price tag and salary when he switches to a top club.
Will Dele-Bashiru change clubs soon?
