WATCH THE VIDEO HERE Former Nigeria international striker Odion Ighalo has urged highly sought-after Super Eagles marksman Victor Osimhen to secure a move to the Premier League when his loan spell at Galatasaray comes to an end, Footynaija.com reports. The Napoli loanee, who is currently having a blast in the Turkish Super League, is widely expected to seal a permanent transfer away from the Naples based club this summer. With 34 goal contributions in as many matches this term, Osimhen’s mesmerizing form for Gala has put some of the biggest teams in Europe and beyond on their toes. There is plenty of interest in the Nigerian center-forward from the Premier League with strong links to Arsenal and Manchester United. However, numerous media reports have also mooted that clubs like Barcelona, Real Madrid, Juventus, and Paris Saint-Germain are showing rival interest. Speaking on a local podcast, Ighalo, who spent some part of his career in the Premier League on the books of Watford and Manchester United respectively, believes a summer switch to England’s top-flight division will be the best move at this stage of Osimhen’s career. “Yeah, I believe he has done so well so far for his age and he’s still doing well,” the former Watford striker said. “This is the time for him to make the best decision,” Ighalo said in quotes revealed by Punch. “I believe he should go to the Premier League, but you know he’s young. He has his agent, he has his advisor, and I believe they can advise him on what to do. If I were to advise him, I’d say the Premier League, because that is the big stage – the biggest league in the world. That’s where I believe he’s going to make an even bigger name for himself that he can carry throughout his career, even after football.”
