Media personality Agatha Amata, the ex-wife of Nollywood actor Fred Amata, has said a word of prayer for their daughter, Steph, as she weds her Caucasian lover.
Taking to her Instagram page to share photos from the low-key ceremony, Agatha expressed how happy and proud she was of her daughter’s vow. She sent her best wishes and blessings to her daughter as she began the new chapter and prayed for a lifetime of love and happiness for the new couple.
In another post, quoting Proverb 18 vs. 22, she revealed that her daughter took the bold step, and she is proud of her.

Noticeably absent at the wedding was Steph’s actor’s father, Fred, who many believe is deadbeat as he was absent at her brother’s wedding.
Kemi Filani reported in 2023 that Oreva Amata, the son of Fred and Agatha Amata tied the nuptial knot with his American lover – Katherine, in New York. Surprisingly, Fred was conspicuously absent at the occasion; an act that always occurs when his kids are having great occasions such as graduation from University. And as his usual act, he posted photos from the celebration on his Instagram page.
His ex-wife and media personality, Agatha, however, played her role as the Mother of the Day at the occasion. The happy mother of the groom was supported by close family and friends, as well as her in-laws – as the couple exchanged vows.
Recall that Fred and Agatha parted ways in 2005. Their union produced two children, Oreva (the groom) and Stephanie.
Agatha, in an interview, admitted that she was affected by her break up with Fred, even though “their marriage wasn’t working.” She noted how people still wish she reunited with her ex-husband, but she stated that no one can wish her well better than herself as she noted how she had no plans to leave her marriage when she got married. Agatha noted how an unhappy home can never breed happy children, hence, why she tries her best to co-parent and remain friends, as difficult as it may be.
