Nollywood actor Saidi Balogun is celebrating his son, Jamal Balogun, on his induction.

On his Instagram page, he said watching him walk this path has been one of his greatest joys. He noted how Jamal went through long nights and tougher times, yet faced it all with strength and grace.

He congratulated his son on his induction into the Pharmacy School of Medicine, University of Lagos.

“Watching you walk this path has been one of my greatest joys. From long nights to tougher times, you faced it all with strength and grace. Congratulations to my Pharmacist from the School of Medicine, UNILAG! Pharm JAMAL TEMINI BALOGUN @jamalofficiall_

May Almighty Allah protect you and keep evil eyes away from you. You shall always excel. Insha Allah, this is the beginning of a glorious journey. Go and prosper. I am so proud of you”.

Early this year, Khalid Balogun, had graduated from the University of Lagos with a first-class degree.

His proud mother, Faithia Williams, who was short on words, stated that she was overwhelmed with joy and gratitude at her son’s incredible achievement.

Joining her, Saidi Balogun questioned what joy was greater than this as he noted how his son had made him very proud. Praying for him, Saidi, who lost one of his daughters last year, expressed gratitude to his Maker for bringing joy back into his heart.

In an Instagram post, the veteran sang the praises of his son’s musical talent. He shared a video of his son showcasing his talent, noting how the apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.

Saidi shares two kids – Khalid and Aliyah with ex-wife, Faithia Williams. The two got married in 2000 at Ikorodu registry and divorced fourteen years later. Their divorce was quite messy, and Saidi, who told the court that he could not live under the same roof with his estranged wife due to irreconcilable differences, also demanded, among other requests, that Faithia drop his name, Balogun.

The former couple finally made peace, last year as for the first time in years, Saidi sent a sweet birthday note to Faithia, showering her with love and prayers. Faithia had also done the same as she sweetly celebrated Saidi Balogun’s birthday.

In April, Faithia fueled reconciliation rumors with him as she referred to herself by her former married name, Faithia Balogun. The Yoruba actress shocked many when she addressed herself with her former marital title, Faithia Williams Balogun.
