According To Our Reporter, tension is rising in Rivers State as public affairs analyst Dickson Iroegbu warned that Governor Siminalayi Fubara’s political future may be hanging by a thread.
Speaking on Arise Prime Time, Iroegbu revealed that the All Progressives Congress has made it clear that anyone joining the party should not expect automatic tickets or guaranteed support.
He noted that Fubara, who is locked in a fierce power struggle and has faced repeated impeachment threats, may be seeking refuge in the APC for federal backing.
However, the party’s leadership is insisting on strict screening, loyalty, and grassroots strength ahead of 2027, signaling that mere defection offers no protection or political certainty. Watch full report
