Full List Of Nigerians Nominated For Ambassador By President Tinubu And Their States

President Bola Tinubu has so far nominated a total of 68 individuals for ambassadorial appointments, comprising both career and non-career diplomats.

A formal request for the confirmation of 34 career ambassadors, 31 non-career ambassadors, and high commissioners was submitted to the Senate and read on the floor during plenary on Thursday by Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Meanwhile, the first three names nominated for the ambassadorial position have been screened by the Senate committee.

Among those screened and cleared by the Senate Committee on Foreign Affairs are several prominent figures, including the former Director-General of the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) and ex-Ambassador to the Commonwealth Secretariat, Ayo Oke.

Others include Amin Muhammad Dalhatu, a seasoned career diplomat and former Ambassador to South Korea, and Lateef Kayode Are, former Director-General of the State Security Service.
