The longtime DJ revealed he recently filled in for the morning slot after Ebro in the Morning ended, and the listener reaction may have quickly turned his short run into something much bigger.

Flex also confirmed that when the time comes, he will step away from his iconic 5 p.m. drive time show, a move that would close one of the longest-running chapters in New York radio. He hinted that the station is already building toward the future, teasing that the 2026 Hot 97 morning lineup is already two-thirds complete. “MORE DETAILS ON THE WAY,” he added.
