Victor Osimhen could be in Galatasaray’s starting lineup on Monday in the Istanbul derby against Fenerbahce, Soccernet.ng reports.
Galatasaray President Dursun Özbek revealed his side will be at full strength after Galatasaray’s humbling 1-0 loss to Union Saint-Gilloise in the UEFA Champions League three days ago.
Osimhen picked up a hamstring injury while on International duty with the Super Eagles. He came off at half-time at the Stade Prince Moulay Abdallah in Morocco against DR Congo.
The former Napoli man then had to watch from the bench as his dreams of playing at a World Cup were dashed after a poor penalty shoot-out by his national teammates.

Osimhen to return for Fenerbahce clash
The ex-VfL Wolfsburg man suffered a moderate strain and bleeding in his left posterior muscle after an MRI scan.
It was expected that the Nigerian forward would be out of action for about three weeks, and he was expected to return to action in the third week of December, just before Nigeria’s AFCON campaign.

However, Galatasaray’s President, Dursun Özbek, said that Victor Osimhen, who was injured, would catch up with the Fenerbahçe derby, meaning he’s recovered on time.
“Our players who return from the defence will be in the squad in the Fenerbahçe derby,” the 76-year-old said in quotes revealed by Gozlem Gazetesi.
“Osimhen’s supposed to be on the roster on Monday, I guess. Because in our speeches so far, the target was that our other players who return from the other injury will probably be on our squad.
We’re going to the field with a great team,” the club’s president concluded.

Galatasaray could lose top spot if they fall short against Fenerbahce, as they’re just one point above Domenico Tedesco’s side.
