Turkish Super Lig champions Galatasaray have devised a replacement plan for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen if he decides against joining them this summer, Soccernet.ng reports.

Galatasaray have been waiting on Osimhen to decide his next career move since the closing months of last season.

Recall that the 26-year-old Super Eagles marksman spent last season at Rams Park in a season-long loan transfer from Serie A champions Napoli, and he shone like a million stars.

Osimhen contributed 37 goals and eight assists in 41 appearances for the Lions across all competitions, helping them win the Super Lig and the Turkish Cup.

However, the Turkish giants do not want Osimhen to return to Napoli, as they want to sign him permanently. They are willing to pay his release clause and even give him a salary bump.

But the Super Eagles star has not decided yet, as he wants to play at a bigger club next season.

Osimhen has already been linked with a host of English Premier League clubs like Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Liverpool, but none of them has tabled a bid yet.

With the chance of signing Osimhen’s looking bleak, Galatasaray are now looking at an alternative.

Who is the Super Eagles striker that is on Galatasaray’s radar?

Galatasaray have started making plans just in case Osimhen refuses to join them this summer. According to Turkish outlet Fanatik, the reigning Turkish champions have identified Super Eagles striker Victor Boniface as a potential option.

The 24-year-old striker has proven to be a prolific point man- at least when he is fit. Boniface has contributed 32 goals and 12 assists in 61 appearances for Bayer Leverkusen.

He still has two years left on his contract at Bayer Leverkusen, but the club would be willing to let him leave if they receive a good offer.

Boniface has other admirers like Saudi giants Al Nassr. And they will table a mouthwatering offer for the Super Eagles star.

Galatasaray would have to move quickly if they want to land Boniface.
