A tipster has just shared some interesting information about Samsung’s upcoming Android flagship. The Galaxy S25 Ultra will seemingly get a RAM bump, and many would say… finally. It was expected with the Galaxy S24 Ultra, but it didn’t happen.
According to Sawyer Galox, the third prototype of the Galaxy S25 Ultra confirmed this detail. This is allegedly the final RAM + storage setup that the phone will have. So, let’s talk about it.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra could finally get a RAM bump
The device will allegedly come in three different combinations. A 12GB RAM model will still be available and offer 256GB of storage. One of the two 16GB RAM variants will ship with 512GB of storage, while the other will include 1TB of storage.
The storage will not be expandable, of course, while Samsung is expected to utilize LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 flash storage on the device. Another detail that this prototype confirmed is a 6.9-inch display.
Now, the RAM bump is not a surprise, quite the contrary. Samsung was expected to make that change. AI could be one of the main reasons why Samsung did it, though. The Galaxy S25 series is tipped to run Google’s second-gen version of Gemini Nano.
Samsung is expected to offer a ton of Galaxy AI features
Samsung will ship a ton of Galaxy AI features on all three phones, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra may get some exclusive ones. We’ll have to wait and see. Either way, making a jump to 16GB of RAM does make sense.
In regards to storage, Samsung is sticking with 1TB on the top-end model, which is also not surprising. Some people may have expected the company to go up to 2TB, but that seemingly won’t happen.
The entire Galaxy S25 series is expected to arrive in the first quarter of next year, possibly even in January.
