Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin hates Spider-Man’s “One More Day” storyline as much as everyone else. Widely regarded as the worst editorial decision Marvel has ever made, “One More Day” wiped Peter Parker and Mary Jane’s marriage from continuity, and like many fans, Martin still isn’t over it.
Popverse quoted the Thrones creator’s comments, in which Martin went on record about his dislike of reboots and retcons, citing “One More Day” as one example that still bugs him.
He’s not alone, of course. Though Marvel stubbornly sticks by the story, it continues to be considered a low-point for Spidey by legions of loyal fans.
