However, as per the APC spokesperson, the purpose behind Kwankwaso’s efforts to come back to the APC is to regain dominance over the party from its existing members. He pointed out that Kwankwaso had previously undermined Malam Ibrahim Shekarau by compelling a transition from APC to PDP, and had similarly betrayed their trust when they were part of the PDP. “Looking at how Kofa outlined the achievements and positions held by Kwankwaso and Ganduje, it becomes clear that he is too insignificant to mediate peace between the two,” Aruwa said. He stressed that if anyone was to mediate between Kwankwaso and Ganduje, it should be Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf of Kano State, not Kofa.
